Pigeon house design and facts

This week we were learning about how people used pigeons to communicate across long distances. These pigeons were kept in houses called lofts. Roriki, Elijah and Hemi designed a Pigeon House this week. They added a few facts too.

Writing

Today we work cooperatively to write interesting sentence beginnings that would hook in a reader. This year in Room 19 we are really focusing on supporting and sharing ideas that will help us all in our learning.

Swimming is Learning

Swimming is part of learning in New Zealand schools. The pool is heated and at 9 am the water was beautiful. Today we spent time practising our breathing, correct strokes and then finished off the session with some competitions.

Hi All, We are the awesome students of  Room 19 class of 2015.  The focus of this year is to encourage, help and support each other in our learning this year.
