Koia kei a koe Ruma Rua tekau ma rua! Good on you Room 22!
Today we practised how to introduce ourselves using our mihi. Whaea Carol was so impressed with everyone that we received a certificate.
Room 22 is a class of Year 4 ākonga (students) who strive to demonstrate our school values every day. Our rangitaki (blog) is just one way in which we can celebrate and share our learning journey with others. Please offer feedback in the form of comments, as this is what helps us all as learners to improve.

I would just like to say a very big THANK YOU to all of the students who managed to join us for our first ever Google Meet! It was very exciting and challenging at the same time. I really enjoyed seeing your faces and listening to what you had to share. If for whatever reason you couldn't make the meeting yesterday, I am sorry that we missed you.
Ka kite ā tērā wiki- See you next week!
I am super excited to have a meeting with my Ruma 22 whanau tomorrow beginning at 11 am. Keeping in line with our class challenge, here are some expectations that we must all strive to follow.
Just like in class when we have a minute to talk about our weekend, tomorrow you will have 30 seconds to share a message with your Ruma 22 whanau.
You could;
Share a joke
Talk about something you have done while learning at home.
A book you have read.
Share an encouraging message with your whanau.
Success depends on everyone sharing and showing Manaakitanga- 'We can do this whanau'
Here are some more learning activities, remember you can pick and choose which ones you do.
Please send through photos so I can share your wonderful mahi.
Kia ora Room 22 whanau,
On Wednesday at 11am, I am able to offer our class the opportunity to catch up with me via Google Meet (video conferencing). Please check your emails for more information. If you have not received an email please let me know the email address I can send the instructions and link to. My email address is kmills@owairaka.school.nz
I am looking forward to "seeing" you all on Wednesday.

Have you heard of Pointillism? It is a art technique invented by Georges Seurat and Paul Signac.
We first decided what we would like to draw. The criteria was that the animal or insect had to be native to New Zealand.
