Congratulations to Frankie and Ishita for receiving our Caught being Good certificates and a Duffy pukapuka this week.
Room 22 is a class of Year 4 ākonga (students) who strive to demonstrate our school values every day. Our rangitaki (blog) is just one way in which we can celebrate and share our learning journey with others. Please offer feedback in the form of comments, as this is what helps us all as learners to improve.

Kirikiti- Cricket
Over the next 3 days we will be learning the skills of kirikiti. Today we had two ngā kaiwhakaako (coaches), Coach Matthew and Coach Nisheeth from Auckland Cricket.
We learnt the skills of bowling and batting.
For bowling, we used the Starfish stance and learnt that our bowling arm should always be straight when bowling the paoro (ball). In our small rōpū (group), we took turns to bowl and try to hit the wīkiti (wicket).
For batting we practised gently hitting the paoro of the tee, aiming for it to go between two cones to our partner down the other end of the court.
