This weeks Taekwondo session including punching and blocking as well as celebrating being a LOSER. That's right, I said it "We are LOSERS and proud of it". Our instructor shared with us his personal experiences of winning and losing when competing in Taekwondo competitions. We totally took on board his message that, while we will win sometimes, most times we will lose and that's ok.
Room 22 is a class of Year 4 ākonga (students) who strive to demonstrate our school values every day. Our rangitaki (blog) is just one way in which we can celebrate and share our learning journey with others. Please offer feedback in the form of comments, as this is what helps us all as learners to improve.

Kia ora Taekwondo learners,
ReplyDeleteI have never tried Taekwondo so it was good to see your video clip. I think you are extremely lucky to be learning this at school. Do any of you do Taekwondo or any other martial arts. Your instructor is so right - we need to learn to be good winners and good losers - such an important lesson.
Have a great weekend.
Tania
Hi I am Alaska from Karoro School. I really liked how you were learning Taekwondo. I always wanted to learn a bit about Taekwondo. Maybe next time you could write a bit more about what you learnt.
ReplyDeleteHi I am Emma from Karoro School. Please tell me what Taekawondo is about. Is it the art of the hands and feet or elbows and knees. Could you add more information to tell us more about your learning experience.
