Lest we forget-ANZAC Day

This year ANZAC day celebrations will be very different from the traditional. On the 25th of April, Australia and New Zealand hold commemorative services at dawn, followed by marches.

The following slide contains a variety of different learning activities. You may choose how many you would like to do and the order in which you complete them.

This year ANZAC day is observed on Saturday 25th of April. Use this week to gain an understanding of ANZAC Day and build upon your prior knowledge, so that on Saturday you will be able to better understand and appreciate this day and the sacrifices made by our ANZAC's.

  1. Just love the story about Anzac Ted. It so reminds me of my old Teddy that no one else could appreciate as he got older and more worn out!

  2. Thanks for sharing this Kristie. We are painting poppies on our plastic milk bottles and putting little candles inside for ANZAC Day this year. What will you be doing Room 22?

    1. Kia ora Room 21 for your comment and sharing your ANZAC ideas. I will probably create a window display. I did the teddy in the window and created an Easter display and really enjoyed doing them.
