This week we had two Water Safety lessons. Today's lesson was all about life jackets and how to keep safe when we are wearing one.
Some students practised on dry land while most practised these skills in the pool. Here are some photos.

How to put a life jacket on correctly. |

Do up the zip and do both clips. |

Individual huddle in water |
|
We huddle to keep ourselves warm. |
|
We huddle together for two reasons; Tuatahi- we keep warm. Tuarua- it makes us a bigger group, more likely to be seen by a helicopter. |
We put the coldest person in the middle to keep them warm.
We now know how and why we should wear a life jacket.
Kia ora Ruma rua tekau ma rua, great to see you learning about how to stay safe in the water. Please share this new learning with family and friends.
