Kelly Sport Fun day!

Today the whole kura participated in a variety of fun and exciting team building/cooperative ngā kēmu (games). After morning tea it was Pūriri teams turn.

We played so many kēmu that it was hard to remember all of the names for them. Here are some ngā pikitia and descriptions on how to play them.

We really like to use our heads in Ruma 22. For this kēmu, we had to work in rōpū to transport the paoro (ball) from one cone to another. The only rule was we had to use equipment such as hockey sticks and other parts of our tinana (body), we were not allowed to use our hands.

The last kēmu we played was called, Floor is lava. In teams, we had to use the Lilly pads to make our way to the toys. When we picked up a toy we then had to make it back to our cone. If we touched the lava (grass) we had to start again.

Ngā mihi nui to all of the Kelly Sport coaches and everyone else involved in

organising this awesome day for us!
