Stand up for unity- Race Relations day 2017

What an amazing day! It was fantastic to see students dressed so proudly in their cultural attire and sharing their cultural food. Here is just a few photos of Room 19's students cultural dress along with our shared lunch with our buddy class Room 10.

  1. Kia ora Room 19,
What a great day to celebrate, I really enjoyed seeing you all looking amazing in the clothes from your various cultures. It looked like you had a great day for a shared lunch. What type of food did you eat? Did you try things that you hadn't tried before? I am going to Peru in South America in a few weeks time and I have never been before. I am really looking forward to finding out more about their culture, their dress, their history, their language and their food.

  3. Hello Room 19,
I loved seeing the pictures of the cultural dress. I think it is important that we respect all races and treat them the same. It's great that your school celebrates the day.

    Thanks,
